Expeditions
Over the last couple of years, we have spent half our time traveling and living in Nepal. We have had the opportunity to experience a number of unique places that we would love to share with others. In all of our guided trips we source everything locally: guides, trusted agencies to acquire permits, and local rental companies. Our goal is to bring more people to discover what Nepal has to offer in a different way. Tourism is Nepal’s largest industry and largest source of foreign exchange and revenue. Since the April 2015 earthquake, tourism has decreased substantially and it seems like the world is still waiting to come back. Having been in Nepal during the earthquakes and spending months after helping with aid relief, we can attest that Nepal is indeed open for business. Livelihoods depend on it. Rebuilding of this country depends on it. With access to the largest mountains in the world and the vast diversity of terrain, this is the ultimate playground.
Upper Mustang Motorbike Trip
This trip is not for the weak of heart or the beginner rider. The roads are treacherous at best, but the adventure is definitely worth it. Riding from Pokhara, Nepal up to the Tibetan border is 10 full-on days. You will be sore and exhausted, but you will never regret going. We would suggest taking a Crossfire dirtbike, but let’s be honest, we did it on Royal Enfield motorbikes and it was epic. They broke down every day and have suspension technology from the 1950’s, but boy, did we look styley riding up there!

Manaslu Photography Trek
With the Annapurna Circuit Trek becoming over-populated, people are turning to the less beaten track of the Manaslu region. The Manaslu Trek is breathtaking from the lower, lush humid climate to the high altitudes of the base of Manaslu, the world’s eighth highest mountain. Having been through this region a handful of times all for the purpose of filming and photography for various outlets, we highly recommend this less traveled route. This is a slower paced trip with plenty of time to take day hikes to see ancient monasteries or the Manaslu base camp and stop along the way.
Here are the details:
- 20 days from Pokhara to Pokhara
- Manaslu Circuit Trek – this typically takes 14 days, however we like to give time for photographing along the way as well as extra time for acclimatization. The highest point of the trek is Larke Pass at 17,000 feet. We will have a gradual elevation gain before getting to this point.
- Approximately 3-5 hours of trekking per day.
- Food and accommodations are found at guesthouses which provide blankets but we suggest bringing your own sleeping bag.
- Local porters will be hired to help with the weight of the bags to ensure the best possible experience.
- Local guides will be hired to share their local knowledge.
